  The gestalt principles — similarity, proximity, closure, figure-ground, continuance and common fate — are a popular tool used by designers for visually organizing information I choose this quote because it talks about visually organizing information. For example it can  create relationships and differences between elements in designs. Also understanding this can make your designs better.  Rather than perceiving elements separately, our brain organizes patterns, objects and shapes into whole forms that we can understand. This quote relates to the image I choose because of the patterns. There's many patterns in the picture that our brain organizes so that we can understand.
